i might have mentioned a while back (and by while back, i mean a couple years ago) that i had an egwene i was working on in this particular style...well, i ran across her today, and decided to finish her off...

Okay first post baby, and its gonna be serious...This is the best Rand depiction out there. Everything is perfect in this from his build to his expression to the clothes. Definitely post Callandor, Rand. Very well done Seamas...good to see some posts bro...hows the family life treating ya?

Best Rand ever.

That's the coat a king would wear, and I never realized that tasseled boots were as simple as opulent boots with a tassel.

Please do an Egwene is her equally regal attire as Amyrlin!!!

thanks for the comments, guys--! :)

re: dvelazquez

family life is good, but it keeps me pretty busy--! the man cub is doing just fine--gaining weight quickly...he's like a mini jabba--"mey jabba no bogga...ho ho ho ho"

re: rich boye

i actually have a perrin that almost(?) done, and an egwene as amyrlin about halfway done--i'm hoping to portray some characters differently than i did with the first set, meaning at different points in the story...:)

Very well done. Best Rand out there, no doubt about it!

Can't wait to see Perrin and Egwene.

Oh I love this one so... I like the dragon scepter, and the look on his face is just that 'hard'.

Lovely one :).

Thats awesome man. I get to finally get some time off this coming weekend. I have 11 days off so i am going back to Mississippi to see the family, particularly my little nephew.

WHOA you got me excited man Perrin is my favorite character so i really can't wait for that one. SWEET. Btw do you happen to do or know anyone that would be willing to work on a logo for my new production company. I want something original but hopefully free since we are only just starting out.

Let me know bro, the name of it is "Win Win Productions." Thanks man.

Glad to hear all's well at home Seamas. Great Rand: Looks the arrogant Dragon to a 'T'. Simple but perfect pose, with all the details included. Colors make him really come off the pages. The only observation is that the seanchan spearhead doesn't look like the warscythe head from the deathwatch guard picture. With the beautifully original designs of the Ogier axe, and Mat's glaive I was surprised to see more traditional spearhead. A comment, certainly not a critique! ;-) Keep up the awesome work. Personal requests: Leane to balance Suian and Juilin (I know you mentioned him before!)

Whoa... Nice :)

Love the wolves too. Which one is Hopper?

Devin V. said...

YEEEEEEEEESSSS!!! It is insanely good, please disregard any past or future comments on his Perrin's size being too big in your portrayal...it is awesome and exactly as it is written in the book. He's huge, Everyone needs to go re read the books.

Hopper is the large black one if i am not getting my wolves confused. Lovin it man. like i said before he's my favorite character.

frickin awesome stuff man. love those wolves.

Your WoT drawings are incredible. I stumbled upon them today and got chills when I saw how you drew Faile. These two of Rand and Perrin are beautiful!

You continue to be the definitive WoT artist online in my books. Hell, if I was the man in charge of such things, you'd be the artist for a re-release of the whole bloody series in preparation for the final installment next year. Your Wheel of Time art helps me visualize the characters, which is a major achievement, considering I was fully convinced Lan looked like a Shogun Warrior due to the original artwork on Eye of the World. I see him much better now.

well hello sir, thank you for your warm comment, and yes, a new post, about time hug?

These designs are great by the way!

..I'm off the mortal enemies list?...I'm a little disappointed i have to say, unless you put me in Jeremy's list.....man that's provably a cool list..

I loved what you posted over at Dragon Mount and decided to check out your blog. I love the newest depictions of Rand and Perrin. They are even better than your first ones.

These are great. I really like the physical attitude of your characters--it adds so much to the feel of the image. Perrin and the wolves came out great.

i just happened upon your work while searching for some WoT images, and i have to say everything youve done has just blown me away. Everyone depicted has just been dead on

Seriously man, your WoT artwork blows me away. Its eerie how similarly I visualized some characters like Aviendha and Bayle Domon, but you had an entirely different take on some like Lan and Mazrim Taim.
For the love of God, please keep it up!

Is that your banner on the new Dragonmount? If so, I like it... if not... well, there's something to be said for the sincerest form of flattery I guess :)

I absolutely love your pics! I actually got e a blog, just so I can comment ^^ It would be very nice to see some pics of the tuatha'ans. Do you have any in progress?
Keep up the good work!

Your work is absolutely breathtaking. This is some of the absolute best artwork for the WoT anywhere. Congratulations on the awesomeness that is you and your work.

By the way, besides yourself and Jeremy Saliba, are there any other artists of note that are producing quality WoT work out there on the interweb?

These are fantastic... every thought of doing Lews Therin?

these are amazing, the perrin one is awesome

Just wanna say, the art work is phenomenal. The characters here are the ones in my mind when i read WoT. Human nature always wants more - show us the floods of imagination. As an artist you know the flow is endless. Cities, angreal, battle scenes....

I like the new egwene i most of the time just go strait to the sections with all the other characters but today i was like wait what was that yellow. i think she looks great

Devin V. said...

Wow more art, and in the other style...i like it, i'm guessing this is Amyrlin Egwene right.
