more earlier stuff i did for that damn yeti--this was sort of an in-between stage for what's at the bottom of the page and what i posted more recently...
I agree. I dig the horns as well. It just screams yeti. I guess you dont want to get too close to wampa though. I have a question as always. It looks like you lay down the rough sketch with non-repro blue pencil then clean it up in pencil. Is that the case? It has been years since I have used a non-repro but it seems to be pretty common with character concept artists. I guess everyone has their way though.
in this particular case, i used a blue col-erase pencil to lay in the initial sketch, then went over it with a black prisma color pencil--basically the same process you were explaining, just different pencils :)
