updated the priestess summoner concept with a quick value study--i think i'll be moving ahead with this design--partly because i think it's working ok, but mostly because i don't want to dilly-dally any longer with it--i need to get started on modelsheets, etc....

I dig it. I can see this summoner scaring the crap out of people. That mouth is brilliantly nasty. I like it a lot. Your work with big creatures amazes me though. Do you reference the musculature of larger animals like horses and elephants to get a feel for how you want yours to be?

yes, i usually try to reference real life animal anatomy if i can--mainly i've looked at horse and big cat (lion, tiger, etc) anatomy for this guy and also the dragon creatures i've done--
I can see horses being an excellent study. Usually they have really defined features. I've studied lions and big cats myself but for more traditional. cat-like creatures. Thanks for the info.
